De SuperNait 3 is NAIM’s zwaarste geïntegreerde versterker. Nieuw is de ingebouwde MM phono voorversterker. Hiermee is de SuperNait 3 de ideale keuze voor iedereen met een draaitafel, maar via de uitgebreide RCA/DIN ingangen kunt u een keur aan andere bronnen aansluiten.

Met de ingebouwde DR voedingstechnologie brengt de SuperNait 3 een nog beter driedimensionaal geluidsbeeld naar buiten, daarnaast heeft NAIM de SuperNait in zijn derde generatie nog beter fijngeslepen.

Aan de voorzijde is de bediening zeer eenvoudig. De grote volumeknop en balansregeling zorgen voor een puristische uitstraling. De rij ingangskeuzes laat duidelijk zien met welke bron u in contact bent. Op de achterzijde vindt u diverse analoge ingangen op zowel DIN als RCA/Cinch niveau. Er is tevens een uitgang voor het koppelen van een extra eindversterker waardoor u zelfs later nog kunt gaan bi-ampen.

Daarnaast biedt de SuperNait 3 u de mogelijkheid om met losse voedingen het voorversterker gedeelte verder te verbeteren. Deze upgrades zijn een vitaal onderdeel van de NAIM filosofie en zorgen ervoor dat u gedurende de tijd kunt groeien met uw muzieksysteem.

Technology & Craft

 

The upgrades in more detail:

  • Our R&D team has found a way to more than double the speed of the voltage gain stage, which in turn doubles the rate at which the speaker output stage can react.
     
  • The second gain stage transistors have been optimised, so they no longer need to be shielded by a cascode stage transistor. Removing the cascode means less amplifier stabilisation is required: that doubles the slew rate and delivers an uplift in sound quality.
     
  • The phono circuit topology comprises 3 stages: the gain stage, passive equalisation and final gain and active equalisation. This enables excellent noise performance, extended RIAA equalisation beyond the audio band and great overload headroom.
     
  • All RIAA equalisation capacitors and the RIAA resistors are ‘through-hole’ mounted film designs, with low microphonic pickup and excellent transient performance. As phono stages are 1000x more sensitive than other inputs, this greatly benefits the sound quality.
     
  • Input impedance is 47kΩ in parallel with 470pF capacitive loading;  the gain is perfect for 5mV moving magnet cartridges.
